For benchmark comparison look here.
The following are the Sarvega XSLTBench results for Gregor and several
popular XSLT processors.

Comments:
- Except
for msxml, all other processors are Java based. Consequently, except
for msxml, the processors run on any platform including Linux,
Solaris, and Windows. Gregor translets additionally run on small wireless
devices.
- Running
on BEA JRockit8.1 Gregor is 3 times faster than msxml offering
superior throughput and low latency on the same harware.
- XSLTC
(2.5.0 as of 4/22/03) failed to work with the BEA JVM and is not included in
the chart.
- XalanJ
(2.5.0) failed 2 of the 15 cases.
- All
of the Java based processors worked OK with IBM Java2-1.3, except XSLTC
which cannot compile one of the test stylesheets (docbook.xsl). The results
for the IBM JVM of XSLTBench with 'docbook' case removed are shown below.
Running on the IBM JVM Gregor is only twice as fast as msxml (compared
to 3 times with the BEA JVM). Gregor is 4 times faster than its predecessor
XSLTC.
